Natural experience pool Aquadies – excursion destination in the Lüneburg Heath

One of the most beautiful excursion destinations around Hamburg is the Nature Experience Pool Aquadies in Egestorf. Just about an hour away from the Hanseatic city, this outdoor pool offers a truly special bathing experience – right in nature and completely chemical-free. So, for those who want to explore the surroundings along with the well-known attractions of Hamburg, this is the perfect combination of relaxation, nature, and leisure fun.

Swimming in a Natural Environment

The Aquadies stands out from traditional outdoor pools as it operates entirely without chlorine. Instead, the water is purified through biological silica filters, keeping it clear and fresh. Surrounded by old trees and the expansive landscape of the Lüneburg Heath, visitors can enjoy swimming in harmony with nature – a genuine highlight for anyone exploring Hamburg and its surroundings.

Attractions for the Whole Family

The pool is family-friendly and features many different areas:

  • Swimming pool for athletic laps

  • Children and baby area with a small slide

  • Wading pool, sandpit, and play stream for the youngest

  • Beach volleyball court for active visitors

  • Spacious sunbathing lawns for relaxation

  • Kiosk with terrace for a small snack in between

Families with children particularly appreciate the variety of offerings. While the little ones splash around and play, the adults can relax and enjoy the tranquility of nature.

Staying in the Nature Camp

A special advantage is the nature camp directly at Aquadies. Here, visitors have the opportunity to stay in log cabins, tents, or a tipi – right in nature. A total of six cabins are available, accommodating up to 36 people. The offerings are complemented by a communal kitchen, modern sanitary facilities, and a bookable Finnish sauna. RV travelers will also find suitable parking spaces that are open year-round.
